Get the Laga Laga Storymug. Boom Story is an animated web series where two walking Bombs called Boom and Hurb go on adventures together. After their reunion, Boom and Hurb are simply trying to hang out again, but something always seems to go wrong. The web series is being uploaded on the ArnavBoom YouTube channel. Other characters are prominent aswell like Blu, who is trying to become King of Bob-omb Battlefield, which Boom is trying stop, and Lucy, the big sister of Hurb. As of writing this, two Episodes are out, Episode 1: „Pasta Problems“ and Episode 2: „Why are you so Blu”. More episodes are currently in the works! And yes this is me, the creator of the web series, writing this because I am bored.

Get the Boom Storymug. In the summer of the year 1979, I was traveling from Miami to New Jersey aboard the Amtrak Silver Star, eagerly anticipating the journey. The train, powered by three EMD F40PH locomotives, consisted of modern Amfleet cars and older coaches from various railroads. As we departed Miami, I watched the scenery change from the city's skyline to the open vistas of Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina.
In Washington, D.C., the crew swapped out the F40PHs for two stunning Ex-Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 locomotives. I couldn’t resist stepping outside to see them up close. The GG1s, with their art-deco design and iconic Tuscan red color, were even more impressive in person. Watching the crew efficiently switch the locomotives was fascinating.
Once the GG1s were hooked up, we sped along the electrified Northeast Corridor, hitting 90 mph. The world blurred as we passed through beautiful landscapes, overtaking a Budd Metroliner EMU and a new AEM-7 Locomotive on the Clocker service.
When we arrived at Newark Penn Station, I rushed to the two GG1s. Their gleaming metal under the station lights made it feel like a dream. I took a Polaroid picture with the locomotives, standing proudly between them. It was a surreal moment, and I felt incredibly fortunate to witness this piece of railroading history.

Get the Storimug. an article, essay, editorial, etc. remembered years after you saw it on your tumblr dashboard. These stories, often highlighting a cultural or societal issue, must be taken with a grain of salt due to their questionable validity, accuracy, and truthfulness.
In the 1980s, a Japanese girl was kidnapped, tortured, and raped by four of her schoolmates. After a few weeks, the girl died from her injuries, and the boys weren't charged with any crimes. This is a tumblr story because the details highlight sexism and rape culture, but whether or not the story is true is unclear.
