A chemical compound dat makes solar panels catch fire.

So they use both lithium-ion batteries AND gallium arsonide photo-voltaic cells in solar-powered cars --- no WONDER they're erupting in flames all da time!!!
(Disclaimer --- actually, there are apparently far FEWER electric-vehicle fires than those involving petrol-powered conveyances --- I was just having fun here.)
