This is a perfect phrase (and party trick!) to highlight the difference between British and American English accents. Each word in the sentence is pronounced differently when uttered aloud in the two different accents.
Two friends, one American & one British, met at a party. One asks the other to say “Please pass the pasta pastor” out loud.
American person: “Please {ˈpas} the {pä-stə} {ˈpa-stər}”
British person: “Please {pɑ s} the {ˈpæstə} {ˈpɑ stə(r)}”
American person: “Please {ˈpas} the {pä-stə} {ˈpa-stər}”
British person: “Please {pɑ s} the {ˈpæstə} {ˈpɑ stə(r)}”
