Van is a guy with an outstanding personally. He usually gets along with anyone, but if not with you, there is no chance of a relationship with him. This is commonly used in the west of the Netherlands.

He can't even pick his own keys from the ground. This guy is like a van Bos.

It looks like the guy never shaves his beard. He is like a van Bos.
