Chad is an internet neologism emering from the chan imageboards in the late 2010s and is used to refer to a (very) popular, dominant, confident, conventionally attractive young heterosexual white man who is succesful in multiple domains in life. Has many friends, is considered very attractive by women and has a rich and diverse sex life compared to the rest of the male population as a result, often (but not always) plays competitive sports.

The term has overlap with the older Jock and Alpha Male.

The female equivalent of a Chad is a Stacy. The black equivalent of a Chad is a Tyrone. The word Chad is most often used as a noun but can also be used as an adjective.
