Gringolandia

1.- The land of Gringos usually called the USA, where there is not official language but almost everybody speaks in English and they will hate to hear someone else speaks in another language.
2.- It is almost common there will be an Indian cashier available at the closest convenience store.
3.- You will find pretty repetitive the same fast food, supermarket, hotel, bank, and pharmacy chains in each city.
4.- Probably you may need a car to go from one place to another since distance between places are pretty large to walk.

Roberto: I wonder how is gringolandia?
Anita: Have you ever watched Beavis and Butthead, The Simpsons, Family Guy, or SouthPark?
Roberto: Yes
Anita: Well, basically those shows are the gringolandia stereotype.

A person who idly watches the labours of others while declining to offer assistance or becoming involved. Traditionally a term used by canal bargees when referring to onlookers found clustering around locks and moorings where barges have to stop and the crew engage in sometimes hard physical activity to make progress.

gringo

1.-In Monterrey, Mexico, we use the word "gringo" for people who were born in the US.
It has nothing to do with race. It's not derogative.It's a nationality.
If someone says "pinche gringo" the derogative word is "pinche", not "gringo".
We call them gringos because it'd be stupid to call them "americans", since America is a continent, not a country.

1.- Derek is gringo. He was born in Boston.
2.- Q:Where did you get those jeans?
A:They're gringos.

gringo

Gringo is a word used mostly by spanish speakers to define an anglo-saxon person, depending the connotation it can be offensive, neutral or even friendly. Also the meaning can change depending on the people that uses it.

For example in Mexico and central America is mostly used in an insultive way.
In Argentina due that most people has italian and spanian roots (white and brown hair) it's merely to describe someone that's anglo-saxon or very white and blonde, due to many "Gringos" that went to live to Argentina.

-No lo viste al gringo?
-Haven't you seen gringo?

-Ey gringo pasame la pelota!
-Hey gringo pass me the ball!

-Ese es un gringo de mierda
-That one is a fucking gringo
