Get the Bite the basemug. To is to fall for the trick of false authenticity or implied character connection in a piece of media, usually and especially as it relates to queer relationships. The "Wax Apple" as it were is a hollow but appealing representation of a desire audiences have that may be encouraged by the media's author or showrunner, frequently hinted at, or built up to, only to never come to fruition.
