To is to fall for the trick of false authenticity or implied character connection in a piece of media, usually and especially as it relates to queer relationships. The "Wax Apple" as it were is a hollow but appealing representation of a desire audiences have that may be encouraged by the media's author or showrunner, frequently hinted at, or built up to, only to never come to fruition.
Me and Jake used to love watching Teen Wolf together, but i dropped it after all the Sterek Queerbaiting. Jake is all too happy to Bite the Wax and hope they'll still end up together even after the Malia thing.

"Beware of the hand (that bites)" is the opposite of "Don't bite the hand that feeds you." It means to be wary of some people, especially those who can make a situation worse. Tony John coined this phrase.
Person 1: should we involve him? he might make matters worse.
Person 2: Beware of the hand (that bites).

a tone that someone has to their voice where they say the nicest thing and have venom in their voice so it doesn't come out sounding nice
"We will go to the park, won't we?"
and sounds like " We are going to the freakin park and your going to freakin love it, so shut the heck up."
and the person it was said to mumbles "easy with the polite bite"
