A derogatory term used in Australia throughout the 1970s and 1980s towards immigrants from Mediterranean countries, particularly Italians and Greeks. The term has also been reclaimed and used by Greek Australians to refer to themselves.

A medditerranean or middle eastern person usually from Bankstown & western sydney. They have strong accents and usually wear adidas tracksuits and gold chains and look like thugs.
