death row

A record label that was home to the biggest artists from the west coast during the 90s. It once housed heavy hitters such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and 2Pac. Now it is a place where rapper's careers go to die.

If you are an artist trapped on death row, your best chance to escape is to fake your own death (a la 2pac)

aspiring rapper: I just signed to death row.
friend: oh shit homie, you're screwed.
aspiring rapper: I know, I know, I was drunk and Suge was going to beat my ass if I didn't.
friend: you know what you gotta do? You gotta pull a 2pac.

Low Row

While sitting down with a group of friends, you get suckered out of the group by sitting down first, while your friends all choose the row in front of you.

While entering a sporting event all the cool kids wait til you sit down then choose the row on front of you on purpose to exclude you from the "group"

Onlooker 1.. Haaa look at this ass clown.. He just got bumped out the group! Now he's trying to climb their backs to get in their conversation
Onlooker 2.. Don't be such a dick. it's not like you've never gotten low rowed before

Skid Row

(n) A very nice late 80's rock band that really made it big with their song "18 And Life".
They have very enjoyable rifts and solos. Nothing beats their rebellious song "Youth Gone Wild".
Still listened to today mostly by people in their late 30's to early 40's. Also enjoyed by some teenagers.

Billy: "Dude, what are you listening to?"
Brad: "Skid Row."
Billy: "Heck yes, man."

A Row in the parking lot at your high school that all the rednecks back into with their huge lifted trucks and huge tires. they honk their horns at non rednecks walking by, spit dip everywhere, leave cigarette butts everywhere and empt beer cans. before they walk into school they all reve their engines then they all walk into school togethr hoopin and hollerin.

skid row

skid row is a slang term meaning the area of shantys and/or shacks along the side of the railroad tracks outside of a boom town. perhaps it has something to do with the area of track that the train skids to a stop entering the town, but I am unsure about this.

It can also mean, death row.

Yeah, so? i'm from the other side of the tracks, i'm from skid row, you wanna make something of it?

Poor uncle Jesse, He's been on skid row for 3 years now, I don't know if they're ever going to put him to death.
