Parascience Accusation Fallacy

The rhetorical move of accusing someone of being into "parascience" as a way of dismissing their experiences, beliefs, or claims without engagement. The accusation positions the target as credulous, unscientific, or mentally unstable. The fallacy lies in using the accusation itself as the argument—as if labeling something "parascience" does the work of refutation. It's a conversation-ender that allows the accuser to feel superior without having to engage the actual phenomena or experiences.

A specific form of the fallacy fallacy where one doesn't just point out fallacies but accuses the opponent of fallacy as a way of dismissing their argument without engagement. The accusation functions as a conversation-ender: "That's an appeal to authority!" becomes a magic phrase that makes the argument disappear. The fallacy lies in treating the accusation as refutation—as if naming the fallacy does the work of showing why the argument fails. It's fallacy-spotting as a weapon, not as analysis.

"She cited a study. 'Appeal to authority!' he declared, as if that settled it. Fallacy Accusation: using fallacy names as weapons, not tools. He never addressed the study's quality, relevance, or methodology—just named a fallacy and declared victory. The accusation was the argument; the content never got touched."

Pseudoscience Accusation

A rhetorical game common in online flamewars where participants volley the accusation of “pseudoscience” back and forth, each side labeling the other’s position as pseudoscientific while offering no substantive critique. The ping‑pong escalates rapidly, with each new accusation framed as a devastating rebuttal. Eventually, the original topic is forgotten, and the debate reduces to a performative exchange of stigma labels. It’s a degenerate form of discourse where the mere act of accusing replaces the work of reasoning.

Bullshit Accusation

A more performative version of bullshit imputation, where the accuser explicitly charges the other party with “talking bullshit” or “spreading bullshit.” The accusation often comes with theatrical outrage and may be repeated across multiple comments. Its purpose is not clarification but social shaming—to mark the target as unworthy of serious engagement. In political and ideological debates, bullshit accusations are a favored tactic to delegitimize opponents without argument.

Bullshit Accusation Ping‑pong

A combination of bullshit accusation and ping‑pong: each participant repeatedly accuses the other of “talking bullshit,” often with escalating intensity. The pattern mirrors pseudoscience accusation ping‑pong but uses more vulgar language. It is common in political flamewars, subreddit battles, and Twitter mobs. The accusations multiply, but no actual reasoning occurs. The only winner is the algorithm that monetizes the outrage.

Example: “Within minutes, the thread had devolved into bullshit accusation ping‑pong: ‘You’re full of shit!’ ‘No, you’re full of shit!’—and then the mods nuked it.”

The Publisher or the Accuser

To quote scripture as a critique of those in Power, is not proof that the author is a messiah, including yours truly (i.e this author), nor does it become an indictment of any faith, that those in power purport to have; nor does this profoundly flawed author, have a desire, or delusion of messianic status.

It is still valid to ask who is like the biblical reference of Lucifer, regardless of source: When multiple wars and unspeakable horrors are still raging on today, surely the issue becomes:

Who is causing such? ... to whom should we put the focus on, for these horrors? Those that claim to represent a nation, with horrors carried out, or facilitated, in our name, who do we hold to account?

If we take Judaism, for example, there are profound academic publishers, of the Jewish faith, that speak profound truth to power. The most prominent, namely and arguably, the greatest: Noam Chomsky, & to name others, such as Max Abrahms.

If we take Christianity, for example: Barack Obama claims to be a devout Christian, however he oversaw the rise of the worst, deliberate, mass persecution, and murder, of Iraqi and Syrian Christians, in the Middle East, of modern times. With a total MSM blackout. Facilitated by his western Intelligence, and their arming & support of Jihadi terrorists. Relabelled as moderates by our western MSM.

Not to mention the horrors of other faiths, including the Yazidi Genocide in Sinjar, with Western intelligence complicit, in enabling such horrors.

The Publishing such atrocities is surely important, to us tax payers, when committed or facilitated, in our name. MSM often has blackouts of such horrors; & similarly of western intelligence, with clear atrocities happening into and beyond the Trump administration.

Weeping Syrian Farmers with their vast wheat fields deliberately burnt 🌾 🔥 🌾 🔥 🌾 🔥 🌾 🔥 🌾 down; or explicit US Military 🇺🇸 occupation and theft of Syria’s national 🇸🇾 oil 🔫

But also legacy atrocities continued to this day, such as the UN sanctioned & induced famine 💀 in Yemen 🇾🇪 (In 2016 UN voted to blockade Yemen - only Russia & China abstaining); and surely Guantanamo Bay ⛓

Publishers at times, publish at great risk to themselves, or their reputation. Indeed Julian Assange has had his freedom taken away for publishing a vast sea of human rights violations, while the anonymous Intelligence Agencies manufacture an ocean of consent, with proven false flags, accusations & horrors; without consequence: With Impunity.

So, who should be held to account? The Publisher or the Accuser?
