When your sense of temperature is completely messed up because your body got used to it being much hotter/colder compared to your hometown, often spotted by people who dress unseasonably regularly.

After going away to college in cold ass Michigan, Johnny was completely temperature fucked when he moved back home as he was wearing shorts in low 50 degree weather and never wearing a coat unless it was below freezing

Their absence from your daily life is a reminder that nature doesn't give up its secrets easily, and that "theoretically possible" is not the same as "actually feasible."
