GothamChess

GothamChess, aka Levy Rozman, is an International Master (IM) of chess from New York City, who during the pandemic lockdown of 2020-21, even more so than Netflix's The Queen's Gambit, almost singlehandedly got an entire new generation of young people interested in the game of chess, a game that most people had previously thought boring. He did this by being witty, funny, and excitedly recapping games of chess like a charismatic sports announcer covering a tense basketball game, and in doing so, got richer than even the world's top chess players, because there isn't much money in actually playing the game. He is known for sacrificing THE ROOOOOOOOK, and for calling bad chess players "bozos".

Some old-school, humorless chess-playing dorks think GothamChess is annoying, but he's laughing all the way to the fucking bank.

1. A person who is dressed in clothing of a gothic nature that would be considered appropriate (or borderline appropriate) for wear during business hours

2. A sexy, smart, and successful individual who dresses to impress with gothic accents, while still adhering to the common clothing guidelines of "business professional." May be modified slightly with a dash of "whore" if you are FUCKING AWESOME.

An Executive goth might wear tailored black suits and funky ties, black pencil skirts, fishnets, patent leather platform high heels and fitted jacket, a perfectly ironed black, or black with an accent color button down shirt with a small under bust corset

Postmodern gothic

A sub-genre of gothic literature that features postmodern undertones. Postmodern gothic novels are often reflective of society post 2000, highlighting fears of the loss of self, commercialism, terrorism and technology. The term "postmodern gothic" was not in use much until recent years, and became especially popular when used to describe the fictional novella "Bittersweet Symphony" by author Rebecca McNutt. Postmodern gothics are especially popular with hipsters, up-and-coming-lawyers and businessmen.

Ro-goth

Kids who pose to be “depressed” on ROBLOX who make their avatar skin color to a dark grayish color and wear edgy clothing and hats. These are no life kids/teens that have the mentality of a 12 year old spazz. They crave love and other naughty things and also pose to be “depressed” or act like it when in reality there just craving attention, or are either sad because their parents either smacked them of the head and said “no more roblox” which causing these losers to cut their arms and go off online saying this and that, that there going to kill themselves or something.

Ro-goth: “i hate life, I’m depressed, Nxmb..”
Person: “why are you depressed?”
Ro-goth: “oh I’m not really depressed I just want attention”

slime goth

A mixture of slime punk and goth, mixing dripping/slimey pastel colors with black as a fashion, the aesthetic features artists like: snails, bleep bloop, getter (early), eptic, ouija Macc, etc. The idea is to be creepy, cute, anarchistic, apolitical and outspoken. Currently being a new aesthetic it incorporates a D.I.Y. ethic as well as a relaxed but vigilant outlook on life, enjoying being in the moment but self aware.
