A west Coast City in the state of California that sit almost directly on the San Andreas Fault. One day we will all be rescued from the bad films, annoying celebrities, violent gansters, and smog that this city houses, when a large earthquake will eventually bring the collection of suburbs to its knees. The hollywood hills will turn into a lanslide of the rich and famous.

Get the Los Angelesmug. One of the best places to live, people who visit don't understand the city and often have differnt opinions. There is so much diversity so racist may not want to live here or visit, plus we dont want you here go back to georgia, but if your cool with mexicans, asians, blacks, whites, and ect... you shouldn't have a problem fitting in.
Los angeles is the most important city in the west, with out L.A. All of the South West would be screwd. Los angeles has the greatest amount of rail that connects the entire United states, so all you arizonins driving your Honda Civics remember all those cars came from the ShipYards from Los Angeles and Long Beach and were railed to your shity desert.
Apart from being always related to movies and T.v. Los Angeles is the economic capital of all the west, there are so many jobs here and once you are old enough to drive legaly there are endless ammount of places you can go to have fun and just relax.
The subway system is still under construction in some areas, but most of the subway has been finished a long time ago. All of which lead to everywhere important. Bad thing is you really need car or you'll be on a train and bus for hrs. GOod news freeways are gonna be renovated and the city is cleaning up both gang related and beautifully.
Development is now rising up like NEW YORK, Tall Apartment buildings are immenint in the Future and even know you can see them develop.

Get the Los Angelesmug. Contrary to popular belief, Los Angeles is one of the most cultured cities in the US and the world.
Los Angeles is a major center for film, television, and recorded music. In fact according to the USC Stevens Institute for Innovation, there are more "artists, writers, filmmakers, actors, dancers and musicians living and working in Los Angeles than any other city at any time in the history of civilization. There are more than 1,100 annual theatrical productions and 21 openings every week."
Los Angeles has the third largest performing arts center in the nation, only behind New York City and Denver. It houses one of the finest orchestras in the world, Los Angeles Philharmonic. It also has houses the Los Angeles Opera, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and the Center Theater Group.
It also has an amazing contemporary art scence, said to be the best in the world by many top artists. Its premier contemporary art museum MOCA has in a short period of time, amassed one of the finest permanent collections in the country with over 5,000 works or art. In addition, dozens of art galleries have opened up in Downtown and Culver City over the past few years, making Los Angeles a hot city for contemporary art. Just down the street from the Los Angeles Music Center is the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, the third largest cathedral in the world.
Lastly, according to the USC Stevens Institute for Innovation, Los Angeles "boasts the most museums of any city. There are also numerous art galleries and music, dance, theatre, and film offerings." Los Angeles has some fine museums and cultural institutions like Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), which is the largest encyclopedic musueum west of Chicago, the J. Paul Getty Trust foundation which is the wealthiest art instituion in the country with an endowment of $5.8 billion. It operates the Getty Center, the Getty Villa, the Getty Foundation, the Getty Research Institute, and the Getty Conservation Institute. Also, there's the Griffith Park Observatory, a world leader in astronomy, the Hammer Museum, the Museum of Tolerance, the Japanese American Museum, the Museum of the American West, the Skirball Cultural Center and Museum, etc.

Get the Los Angelesmug. Gang-ridden city, where the thugs outnumber cops by 10 to 1. For every cop, there are 35 gang members. LA is the city where if the cops won't shoot you dead, the gangs will. Turf wars, gang murders, killings, rapes, murders, carjackings galore. It will take the National Guard to crush the gangs there.

Get the Los Angelesmug. A disorder in which one loses the ability to hear what anyone else has to say - because their own self important inner monologue drowns out everything else.
Damon drummed his fingers impatiently while his girlfriend talked about her dying grandmother. He couldn't wait for her to finish, so he could talk about how huge his glutes had become. Because he had Los Angelitis, all he could hear was his own voice.

Get the Los Angelitismug. A mostly Spanish speaking city that looks like a Mexican village anywhere outside the city's West side.
A huge, flat, ghetto.
A huge, flat, ghetto.
Alvy Singer: "Los Angeles I don't want to move to a city where the only cultural advantage is being able to make a right turn on a red light."-Annie Hall (1977).
I lived in LA for my 4 year college time.
City is mostly dirty and full of homeless. Take any bus and you'll see for yourself. Or just walk in the street.
People are generally materialistic, fake. They think they're better than you if you're not a pretentious phony one like them. Not that you cant find other phonies in America, but per square mile it's more in LA.
Angelanos think they're racially diverse, but they're not. And they're racially divided.
It's not like you can strike a conversation with most easily bc e/o is so snobby and full of themselves. Humbleness and being yourself is not a trait Angelanos embody, because deep down people really are interested in what others will say all the frigging time. You cant be silly, awkward, it's "uncool", not fun, to most. Fitting into a shallowness culture is the most important thing here: Rich, famous, pretty, and/or hot are Angelinos inner values, more than in any other city.
The average one way 3 hour traffic makes you almost suicidal.
Cultural offerings in LA? Showing off a beach body at the pier. Or seeing Nila Tequila wannabes. And this comes from someone who's been to every museum here...
It also gets ridiculously warm (100++). Not enough rain.
IF YOU ARE SHALLOW, a bum, OR work in the entertainment industry, then LA will be a good city for you.
