humble dump

the action by which a guy who wants to break up with his girl does so by convincing her to break up with him. he will grow gradually cold and distant until his girl gets annoyed and dumps him.

many guys who use this tactic believe it is more tactful or easier than outright breaking up with a girl.

“so did say you wanted to break up with her?”
“nah i had to humble dump her so i wouldn’t hurt her feelings”
