The principle that the more stoned you are, the more likely normal things around you are to break. It is a direct relationship between the user and the objects (electronics, doors, food packaging, public fountains) wherein the objects break in front of the user, causing him or her to wonder if the item is really broken or if they are really high.

The CORRECT title for the first installment of the well known Harry Potter book or film series. JK Rowling has personally said that her biggest regret about the series is the name change in some countries, and she thinks of it as 'Philosopher's'.
It makes much more sense calling it 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' as a Philosopher's Stone is a real item that alchemists tried to create hundreds of years ago. Nicholas Flamel is also known to have been working on this. Throughout history, there is no record of any concept known as the 'Sorcerer's Stone'.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is the first novel in the Harry Potter series written by J. K. Rowling and featuring Harry Potter, a young wizard. It describes how Harry discovers he is a wizard, makes close friends and a few enemies at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and with the help of his friends thwarts an attempted comeback by the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry's parents when Harry was one year old.

Get the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone mug.A mythical stone which alchemy practically revolves around. It was desired by a lot of entrepreneurs (see suckers) in the dark ages because of its promise to turn ordinary materials like coal into gold. Naturally, all of those who sought the stone practiced alchemy, and not surprisingly they came up empty-handed.
A Philosopher's stone would be awesome to have, if only it existed in the first place.
Don't waste your life searching for a Philosopher's stone.
(i.e. you're chasing nothing)

Get the Philosopher's stone mug.The crappy name the Yanks gave to the first Harry Potter book, actually called Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Was changed because they didn't think Americans would understand the word philosopher. Which is a good point I suppose.
Me: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is the first book in the Harry Potter series :)
American Nerd: Isn't it called Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone? :/
Me: Ugh, I hate Yanks. -.-

Get the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone mug.An ideal that gives hope to the lost. Some would argue that there's an actual scientific formula combining lead and gold... following an array chart, of course. Greek Mythology relates the God "Mercury" somehow in the transformation process, but there isn't much documentation to support his role in the process other than he too was searching.....and I think he had wings on his ankles. The Philosophers Stone was hands down, The best song ever recorded by Van Morrison. The Philosophers stone gives hope to those searching for a home.
"Man, that guy still searching for the Philosopher's stone....."
or "omg, i love this song, Philosopher's Stone" or, "Everytime I hear Philosopher's Stone I think of Larry" or "No need to search for the Philosophers Stone, its been in your pocket all along"

Get the Philosopher's Stone mug. After overeating at Moe's southwest grill, A moes stone is a collection of cheese, compacted tortilla chips, guacamole, and other gut wrenching mexican delights that form a harder than concrete ball or "stone" in ones stomach. It will leave one in complete misery until the stone can be removed surgically and emergently. Moes stones are very common in the overzealous hungry bellies of pregnant women.
"Oh my god.....I ate way to much Moe's again. I can feel the Moe's stone forming in my belly. It will rip my butt if i pass it naturally. Please get me a surgeon and stretchy pants before my pregnancy hormones drive me to eat more moes, and the moes stone grows hair and legs!
