not on varsity, but not on junior varsity. a swing player of some sort. someone who is not completly on either varsity or junior varsity, but more in the middle.

kid: do you play varsity baseball?
player: no not really.
kid: then you play jv.
player: no not really.
kid: oh then you must be on jarsity
