Kokujo 

In japan its refered to the japenese women that are out to strickly land a black serviceman stationed over there. They traditionally darken their complexions, braid their hair in corn rows and dress like Destiny's Child.

My boyfriend is stationed in Okinawa, im not worried about the white girls over there, Im worried about those damn japenese kokujo, they will do anything to get themselves a brother!!

Kokomo, IN 

A town known for the many Chrysler factories and the Hiphugger--a topless bar that allows the patrons to yank and grab the dancers. The only thing keeping the people in this town from being true rednecks is the fact that they wear shoes and are damn proud of it.

Yes, there actually was an island called "Kokomo" just like in the Beach Boys song. Today it's called "Sandals Cay" and is owned by Sandal's Resort. It sits in Montego Bay, Jamaica and holds only a few amenities and primarily caters to couples. It's this very tiny (2 and 1/2 acres) island that they are referring to in their song of the same name.

I heard the Beach Boys made up the name "Kokomo" for the song because they liked the way it sounded in the song.

No, it's a real island off the coast of Jamaica. It just got renamed by it's owners; a resort.
