To ditch or air someone; to not show up at a scheduled place; to leave someone behind; to lodge someone, usually when agreeing to meet somewhere

1. I was going to go on a date with Amy at the Odeon but she left me on scene
2. Mike said he'd go to Hannah's party with me but I got left on scene

In rural New England, it is common for a fire apparatus to use this term to announce its arrival at an emergency. It is not known how something can be both off and on at the same time, creating a paradox.

On The Scene 

A synonym for dating that refers to a couple with a strong public presence. To be On The Scene with someone is to be in relationship that takes place primarily in public settings (concerts, clubs, protests, etc).

Hey, are you and Sarah still on the scene?

Those two are always staying inside, on that same couch, watching the same damn movies! Why don't they get out on the scene?
