A region streching from the Bronx to Albany. It includes the immediate suburbs of NYC (Westchester, Rockland), the NYC exurbs (Orange, Putnam, Dutchess), and the upper hudson valley (Idont remember the counties). Generally a mix of suburbs and exurbs, but once you get past Poughkeepsie its all farm land. Considered upstate to city people.
oh, and by the way, monticello is not part of the hudson valley.
Hudson falls is the place where people actually believed Soulja boy was cool, a place where you can buy shitty weed for a modest price and enjoy the sweet smell rotting bodies and rusty tool boxes in the feeder Canal. the proper attire of a hudson faller is pajama pants and a hooded sweashirt. Businesses that actually exist here are: taco dog, phat chick's cafe and a magic shop. This shit hole was almost wiped off the map when gas leaked into the sewers and caused explosions.
Anyone who has grown up here within the last 30 years knows that it used to be a good town before the county building was built. Now anytime I tell someone that I grew up in Hudson falls they give me a dirty look and tell me their horrible experiences they have had with the locals during their unfortunate stay at summer school.
Disappeared, presumed permanently missing. Dedicated to anyone in the Tri-State area who ends up offending someone and ends up sunk in the Hudson River.
