fauxvertime

Describes that co-worker who works obscene amounts of overtime, not for the necessity of actually getting his or her work done, but for the purpose of padding their paycheck and simultaneously avoiding their otherwise miserable home life.
"Wow, Stacey's work load must be really heavy right now, she has been here since zero dark thirty this morning!" "No, she's just working fauxvertime because she hates her life and is generally just a miserable person."

Fauxvember

An Australian moustache-themed charity event that supports men's health by raising money for:

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia
Black Dog Institute
National LGBTI Health Alliance
I've got some concerns about the largest Australian benefactor of the other moustache-themed charity event, so this year, I'm doing Fauxvember.

Fauxverdose

A “fauxverdose” occurs when someone sees fentanyl, panics, and faints. Symptoms often include rapid breathing, heart palpitations, and dilated pupils—none of which is consistent with opioid toxicity.

Fauxverdoses involving police are regularly misreported in the media as actual opiate overdoses. This leads the public to misunderstand the very real dangers posed by fentanyl and its analogs.

Fauxverdose is a portmanteau word derived from “faux,” meaning “not real or genuine” and “overdose.”
“Dude, NBC News reported that a Florida cop OD’d during a vehicle search just by getting near the stuff!”

“Naw, I watched the body cam footage with Dr. Smith—she says the cop just panicked and had a fauxverdose.”

fauxterboat

the act of placing one's head in such a position for photographs that may lead someone to believe that person A is motorboating person B, when in fact there is no physical contact between the two parties.
My mom was upset when she saw a picture of me fauxterboating (verb) Sue because she thought I was making a bad drunken decision and these pictures would eventually come back to haunt me.

fauxver-reaction

An over-reaction that is not genuine or faked.
When Jane was notified that she won the grand-prize of one nickel, she screamed and jumped for joy, but it was just a fauxver-reaction.

Fauxvert

an individual who will outwardly express that they exhibit anything form introversion, shyness, lack of confidence. Or any other number of traits which on paper seem negative but by modern standards have become fashionable attributes,

If you claim to be an introvert and are alone. It’s socially accepted, if you’re an extravert and you’re alone: you’re a failure. Same goes with lack of confidence, as stating this makes you seem humble and that you require assistance. So that when you act normal, it becomes something praise worthy. These people often will believe themselves to be telling the truth due to an inability to be honest with themselves, or in the cases of certain more predatory characters: it may be a conscious strategy to garner sympathy.

Etymology:
the term takes the Latin phrase 'faux' meaning false. and combines it with 'vert' which is latin for 'turn'. The word fits within the paradigm of introvert and extravert. meaning respectively 'inwards turn' and 'outwards turn'. So the 'fauxvert' would mean 'false turn'.
Lucy told me she was a shy introvert, but she's been partying 5 nights a week for weeks and had a debate with the tutor in front of the whole class yesterday. She seems like more of a fauxvert.
