Generally a distraction used during those 24 hour raid marathons meant to amuse sleep-deprived geeks.

A person that plays WoW to the point of feeling they can't live without it, much like an alcoholic feels a dependence on booze to keep going.

"Dude, why is Blair asleep at three in the afternoon?"
