Matthew Effect 

The Matthew Effect is a series of academically questionable actions preformed by a student in order to achieve a letter grade of a B or higher in his/her classes. Examples include, but are not limited to: Purposefully submitting corrupted files for grading, completing assignments weeks after the assigned due date, and outright forgetting the assignment in question even existed.
Friend 1: Hey, what grade did you get on the Chapter 23 notes?
Friend 2: I got an A, but I never turned them in.
Friend 1: How?
Friend 2: The Matthew Effect.

Matthew-Lingering-Effect 

When one remembers a romantic encounter where they were told something nice. One will continue thinking about this encounter whenever given the opportunity. AKA it lingers in one’s heart.

This term was coined by the official rizz god, Matthew A. M.
“OMG, Brittney, I can’t stop thinking about him!”

The fact that the rich get richer & the poor get poorer
He got promoted by his pop as the MG of the multi billion £ firm.

He had to break his piggybank to feed his hungry dad & the family.

The effect of winning one game until someone that gives bad lucks makes you go on a losing spree.
