In Central America - mainly in Honduras - a mixed person from indigenous and black ancestry.
There is a great garifuna community in Roatán Island, Caribbean.

Garifuna 

Also known as Black Caribs mainly located in Caribbean coastlines of Central American countries of Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, and Nicaragua used to refer to a descendant of enslaved Africans and Carib Indians that originated in the island of Saint Vincent. People who were enslaved and manage to keep embracing their Caribbean identity and native language.
I’m proud to be Garifuna. Descendants of enslaved Africans and Carib Indians that originated in St Vincent.

A language usually mistaken for African but is actually Carib (Arawak). The language originated in the island of Saint Vincent
Aban are you counting in African no I’m speaking in Garifuna it’s not African, Aban is a Arawak word.
