When an already complicated situation becomes complicated furthermore.

A simple task that can be done with little effort, instead is done in an unnecessary, over the top and excessively complicated way. Typically resulting in a less than acceptable outcome

Maths is complicated, calculus is complificated math.

Trying to explain quantum mechanics to an exchange student, then realizing they don't speak english either.

It's complicated 

One of the options for "Relationship Status" on Facebook. Refers to a couple in an ambiguous state between "friends" and "in a relationship". May also be used to indicate dissatisfaction with an existing relationship.

If someone changes their status from "In a Relationship" to "It's Complicated", expect them to be "Single" and "Looking for Random Play" soon.

It's complicated 

a couple that can't decide to be friends, friends with benefits, or to be in a full out relationship. Friends continue to ask each person what their situation is but no one can truly say in a relationship.

Robin and Lauren's relationship is complicated. If I had to put a title on it I would say,"It's complicated!" Come on guys, just be in a relationship all ready.
