A woman who is only with a man because his real girlfriend is temporarily gone. Sje thinks that she is actually the new girlfriend despite him constantly trying to get back with his love. The downgrade is often named Becky and she is clueless.

The condition associated with the proximal release of a close one, often a boyfriend or girlfriend, that is felt by the opposing party, i.e. the one who has not "downgraded" to another partner. Often characterized by leaping up and down, pointing and laughing, and exotic eupohria that cannot be defined in words.
