The relationship to describe a person who you identify as not quite a friend, but not an acquaintance either. Someone who falls between being an acquaintance (not knowing them very well at all) and a friend (knowing them well and desiring to spend quality time with them). Often used in the relationship where one is a 'friend of a friend'.

Tangendicular 

A combination of the words 'tangent' and 'perpendicular'.
Synonyms: normal (in math calculus)
Noun: A straight line which is perpendicular to a tangent.
Adjective: A word to describe a line which is perpendicular to another line (usually a tangent)
Noun: 'That line is a tangendicular to that other line'
Adjective: 'Hey, that line's a bit tangendicular'

1. To tan (or fake tan) to the extent necessary to become a cast member on "Jersey Shore"

2. To tan to an absurd level

3. To surpass another in tannage
Example 1:

Producer of Jersey Shore: I think he's tanscended to the level required for this show. What do you think?
Doctor: I think skin cancer.

Example 2:

Paul: She looks like a freaking orange, dude.
Scott: Yeah, she totally tanscended yesterday after she bought that gallon of self-tan.

Example 3:

Jessica: I've totally tanscended above, like, Amy's sad, white skin.
Emily: I think you, like, need to hit the, like, tanning salon for like five more hours first.
