The correct spelling is Chataigne[, pronounced (Sh-at-I-n). It is NOT the [trinidadian[ word for Breadfruit, it is a completely different [fruit. it is related to the Jackfruit, but inside the pulp, there are little seeds, these seeds are "chataigne" they are boiled in salted water for about an hour and a half, then shelled like nuts, and eaten. They can be found under the name katahar.
