shaving the dwarf 

A term used for Dungeons and Dragons. Used when a player does something so outrageous that it causes the dungeon master to have to break story and ad lib the rest of the campaign.

"The king gives you a great quest...."
"I'm gonna shoot him in the face!"
"Great, we're shaving the dwarf again."
