“One hundred and six” (106), is a nickname by which homosexuals are known in Algeria, and it is the same number that one of the actors mentioned when he disguised himself as a woman in a comic manner, in reference to one of the hotel rooms in which the story of the movie “The Inspector Taher's Vacation” took place, directed by Moussa Haddad in 1973. Since that time, this number has become a direct symbol of every man who is gay or shows gentleness in dealing with others.
