It was popularized by melodic Southern hip hop artists (Playboi Carti, TonyShhnow, Lucki, DiegoMoney, Yung Bans, and Thouxanbanfauni.), and is characterized by deep 808 basslines, sparkly melodies, and melodic vocals.
