A slang term used for Maine hicks. Derived from the book, "The Beans of Egypt Maine", it generally refers to mainers who (proudly) can't read, have never left the state, and have a tast for pick-ups, shotguns, and "keeping it in the family".

Which is worse...being a beaner, or an extra on "Murder She Wrote"?
