Going to the restroom for a prolonged period, as for a bowel movement. The term originated among retail employees who wanted to use a euphemism in front of customers. The term is possibly an extension of the similar euphemism go to the bank.

Bob, please watch the sales for me for a little while. I have to go make the deposit.
