An alcoholic beverage while hungover. Supposed to cure or ease the sick, sleepy feeling after an alcoholic drinking session. Very similar to 'hair of the dog'.

Pronounced "live-er-ner".

Clough: I feel rough from last night. Might go the local for a livener.

An alcoholic beverage on tap / from the barrell. Commonly used by middle-aged men from Yorkshire.

Man 1 - “coming the bookies to put bets on the footy?”

Man 2 - “can do pal. Then am off t’ Smelly’s for a rinser”
