In an episode of How I Met Your Mother, a main character "Barney" made a joke about another main character "Ted" engaging in oral sex with a cow. For the rest of the episode, the joke was merely referred to as "tedward'd a bull".

after that episode, it has sprang like wildfire all over the interweb forums.
