An acronym for "very ugly morning squirrel"; an individual who tends to wake up on the wrong side of the bed every day with crusty eyes, a hoarse voice, and an unusual aroma that is emitted from every inch of her body. is usually found vumming around in keene, new hampshire or rocky hill, connecticut. Variations of this word include: vumsticles, vumonster, vummies, vumanian and vummybear.

"She's not out of bed yet? What's she doing in there?"
"Oh, she's vumming around."
