A more hands-on form of impact investment. The philanthropic version of Public/Private Partnerships. Entrepreneurs start for-profit businesses that are part owned by non-profit organizations. Their time, thinking, and expertise is used to create successful companies that are run for profit and donate some of their earnings to the non-profit.
