A completely unique dialect of English created when a native Portuguese speaker becomes immersed in English by living in the greater Boston area while still at a linguistically impressionable age, but not so impressionable so as to completely lose the original Portuguese accent. The results in the speaker simultaneously with both a Boston and Portuguese accent. The name "Fernandish" results from the name of one of the most well known speakers of this language.
When Fernanda drops R's in a sentence like a native Bostonian but also makes Portuguese sounds like "aash" and "jaow" she speaking Fernandish.
