A season song is a terribly long song usually consisting of a slower tempo and unnecessarily sappy love-induced lyrics. These songs seem to be so long, that it feels like every season has passed you by while listening to said song. These songs are insanely popular on shows such as American Idol.

I can tell this is going to be a season song, I want to hibernate already!
