wrench

(v.) when someone throws a "wrench in the works" and changes something at the last minute, which messes up your already finalized plans, they have "wrenched" you.

my friend and i were all set to go to the movie tonight, but then our other friend asked us at the last minute not to go see that specific movie without her, and if we would wait until next week for her. she wrenched us!
