4. Random: Occurring without any set or specific pattern or time.

Trowel

1. A small hand tool with a short handle and a flat, usually pointed blade used for spreading, shaping, and smoothing plaster, cement, mortar or dirt.

2. A gardner's hand tool with a short handle and a curved tapering blade, used for making holes to put plants and seedlings in and for other light digging work.

So in fact it's just a small spade-ish tool.

1. Builders use trowels to flatten cement.
2. A gardner uses a trowel to dig SMALL holes.

Officially: An offensive term that deliberately insults somebody's level of intelligence or education.

In slang: A person who is completely ignorant, an ass, a prik, idiot, etc.

1. Restrict: To limit the power of something or somebody to act independently.

2. Enclose within geometric shape: To draw one geometric figure around another so that they touch at every corner vertex (corner) of the enclosed figure or at every side of the enclosing figure without cutting across each other.
