A term of endearment for an Arabic grandmother, more generically meaning simply grandmother. The term is usually used when speaking directly to the grandmother, and not necessarily about her.
"Hi tayta, how are you today?"

The plural for the arabic word "kelb," which means dog. The word, however, is used as an insult for any group of things, particularly as a derogatory reference to Israelis, or people of Jewish faith.
"The iklab stole our country."
