a type of genre that involves the main character getting transported into a different world, there are many examples of series that revolve around this genre, amphibia, the owl house, the thousands of isekai animes, you name it

person 1: dude you need to see this new isekai anime it's really good
person 2: dude it's the same damn plot
person 1: well at least it doesn't end like star VS the forces of evil
