She is married to Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, and was First Lady of the United States during his two terms from 1993 to 2001. Before that, she was a lawyer and the First Lady of Arkansas.

Hillary Clinton was the first First Lady to win election to public office. She is running for re-election to the Senate in 2006, and is considered by many in the media and politics as the early front-runner in the race for the Democratic Party presidential nomination in 2008.
