A state of being where one is occludes theirs elf with a plethora of media and/or byproducts of the human-machine interface, i.e. mostly mobile phone's small screen, tablets, headphones and earbuds, ever-growing, vr/ar/mr headsets, physiological and neurological interfaces, light field volumes, and binaural sensor technology.
Their future relationship was ruined by the exasocial manners exhibited at the table. Neither, looked at, nor got to know one another, including the waiter which approached with phone checking to see if they QR code-ordered from the virtual menu.
