When someone rejects or turns you down (curves you) but does it in a nice way that isn't a definite "no".

For example, when a guy asks if a girl wants to hang out and she says "maybe, i'll think about it" and the topic never comes up again.

"he asked me out a few weeks ago but I gave him that soft curve"
