YEM
Acronym for "You Enjoy Myself," the mightiest and greatest of all Phish songs. The best versions include 10/31/95 Rosemont Illinois, 10/31/96 Atlanta Georgia, and 5/5/93. Written by Trey Anastasio, the person who kept guitar music alive in the 1990's. This song is one of Phish's first. It varies from a few seconds long (the White Tape) to nearly 42 minutes long (10/31/95).

Mike's Groove
The nickname for a series of three Phish songs sequencially: Mike's Song>I am Hydrogen>Weekapaug Groove. Can last up to an hour. Beloved by Phish fans, an excellent version can be heard at the Worcester show, 11/27/98.

Mike Gordon
The bassist who also served as a songwriter and singer for the legendary jam band Phish from the mid 80's to 8/15/04 at the Coventry Festival where Phish played their last show. He is famous for his sick slap bass technique, legendary bass tone, and compositions like Mike's Song.
Mike Gordon and the Benevento/Russo Duo played a nearly hour long jam of "Foam" in Athens, GA, recently.

Mike's Song
A song written by Phish bassist Mike Gordon. It was in the Phish reportoire for over 15 years, and is often played before I Am Hydrogen and Weekapaug Groove to form Mike's Groove. If there is one Phish song most people have heard, this is probably it. It has one of the most distinct and awesome riffs of all time to open the song.

Acronym for the Phish song Down With Disease from the Hoist album. Often played at graduation parties, etc. for the line "This has all been wonderful, but now I'm on my way," which hints that Phish was ready to part ways as early as 1994.
