Privilege on Thin ice

A type of privilege, male or otherwise, that crumbles the second someone finds out you're part of a minority. This is used most often when talking about trans men who stealth- or hide the fact that they are trans- but can also be used in situations like that of Anita Hemmings, a woman who graduated from Vassar College 30 years before people of color were allowed into the school, all because she passed as a white woman.
Because he looked no different than a cis man, he had privilege on thin ice.
