Get the Partner tolerant sexual preference mug.When an individual is fully aware of what is happening in the government and society, what various individuals, organizations, businesses, social movements, and political parties’ agendas, beliefs, and actions are on numerous policy issues, as well as understanding how these beliefs and activities can affect them, their family, community, and various groups of individuals in society and mobilizing socially, financially, and politically when needed in effort correct actions that are unreasonably discriminatory towards certain groups, regardless of whether or not it is part of the social justice movements. It is important to realize that politically conscious people mobilize on a wider array of issues than people who identify as being politically woke; meaning there is a strong difference between how people who identify as being politically woke manifest and handle various social and political problems compared to people who identify as being politically conscious. Sometimes they choose not to take part of a particular social movement even while mobilizing on an issue that movement deals with because they realize that movement is prone to having certain problems that they find to be unreasonably discriminatory and or unethical.
Yasmine is aware of what is happening in the government and society, including what various business leaders and politicians are up to. They have mobilized on many occasions to try to correct social and political wrongs committed by the government, certain celebrities, and organizations. They mobilize on issues related to gender equality, LGBTQA rights, racial equality, disability rights, mental health, animal welfare, improving legal protections for deceased individuals, and increasing political diversity by trying to get more politicians from nonmainstream political parties elected. While they support the Me Too movement, they don’t back the Its on Us campaign because of the political bias that movement has. They consider themself to be politically conscious.

P.D.S.; A major social and political problem where an individual to identify as being a supporter of one political party and or ideology, but then changes their identity and or ideology done often times to better align with their values and beliefs. Rather than accept their identity as being part of who they are and move on, the individual will strenuously deny that they ever had that identity and will overtly take political stances and mobilize on issues that are consistent with what their new political identity; in order to make their new identity seem more legitimate to themselves and other people and or to help them deal with the fact they feel embarrassed and or guilty because of their former political identity. People with this often times endure a lot of fear that people will not see them as being a legitimate supporter of the new political party and or ideology they use, emotional and mental restlessness caused by their belief they have to actively work to make up for their former identity, and or intense guilt for having their previous identity.
Marvin: Why does Stacy always seem to talk about politics. I understand that she is passionate about her beliefs, but she does not need to talk about it constantly.
Janet: I think she has political denial syndrome. If I’m recalling correctly, she used to be a republican, but after having some issues related to Trump’s actions and the capital riots her beliefs shifted to strongly favoring the democrats. Because of all the things the republicans did and the fact she had backed them in the past, she may feel that she has to make up for having that identity because she may feel indirectly responsible for what happened because she voted some of the politicians responsible for it. It could also be that she could be embarrassed by her former identity and her actively discussing her views is one of the ways she deals with discomfort.
Marvin: No offense, but, in a way, it almost sounds like she could need counselor or a good friend to talk to help her deal with her discomfort and stress if that is the case.

Isadora: No, I heard that she has a crush on Kozak and she really wants to impress him, so she is working harder than usually on a lot of the stuff she does in the hope that at some point she can ask him out on a date. I think she is experiencing lover's hope.

A major social problem where people with disabilities often have a harder time getting into and maintaining romantic relationships compared to the average person. This happens for various reasons including that people with disabilities often have a harder time recognizing social cues that indicate someone likes them romantically due to lack of experience and the fact they are not taught about how recognize romantic cues from their parents, teachers, and friends, people assume that people with disabilities are not able to fulfill their expectations for romantic partners, and in school settings, they are often taught separately from kids who don't have disabilities, which prevents them from making friends who don't have disabilities who could teach them more about how to get into and maintain romantic relationships.
The disability facilitated romantic disadvantage effect is an issue where people with disabilities have a harder time getting into and maintaining romantic relationships compared to the average person. The best way to correct this problem is to remind people of all the things these people are capable of doing just as well as the average person. It is very unfortunate this issue is still very prevalent.
