It is to describe a person of less intelligence, usually lives in poor rural areas , like the slums. It is used to insult someone of lower status.

A: Watch out we are in a poor area right now.
B: There are so many Banshus here.

A person who thinks highly of themselves . They also think they represent different races so they can feel better about themselves. They either seek attention or cause controversies.

1.Those group of people are a bunch of piandis so best to avoid them in class.
2.Your such a piandi , I bet you feel like a hero.
