Admiral of the Ocean Sea 

A totally arbitrary title given to Christopher Columbus for sailing to the Americas. Can be used to refer to any flashy title that has no actual meaning.

A PhD in liberal arts might as well be renamed "Admiral of the Ocean Sea".
